Purchasing mattresses and beds used to be a tedious process of trial and error. First, one had to find the time to go to a physical store, and then spend hours laying, pressing, and bouncing on different models for feel, comfort, support, and everything else that could provide a good night’s sleep. Sadly, as I’m sure many people have experienced, even those steps aren’t guarantees, because no amount of short-term testing can adequately replicate the lifestyles we live on our beds. Apart from spending a third of our days in that space, there is also the matter of sharing beds with our partners, children, and pets; there is sleeping, but also playing, cradling, studying, mothers feeding, etc.
For several decades, the really good mattresses cost an arm and a leg for the technologies used in their design. If you didn’t have the budget for it, you’re stuck with your run-of-the-mill mattress that eventually made you toss and turn at night or gave you back pains. I know, since this was my problem, and before the era of “it’s all on the internet,” there just were not that many options. Given what was available, I did not have anyone to vouch for each brand’s quality .
Now, the game has completely changed with the addition of luxury beds-in-boxes, available online and delivered right to your doorstep. One such company that has risen in popularity is the DreamCloud Mattress, and if the name alone doesn’t entice you, allow me to break it down.

DreamCloud has been around for some years, but their 2019 product is what caught my attention. It is a hybrid that combines memory technology, foam, and coils — all of the things that make luxury beds — but at a reasonable price range, vacuum-packed into a box and shipped straight to your homes.

The DreamCloud is a 15-inch, 2-toned bed with 5 layers. Each layer serves a specific purpose, so I will get into detail below.
The entire mattress is covered in a blend of cashmere and polyester, giving it a plush and luxurious feel. It’s soft, breathable, and quilted with memory material. This makes it a EuroTop, a more seamless type of pillow-top that provides a cleaner look; but also serves to prevent shifting or changing its original shape like a traditional pillow top. The memory filling is quite dense, making it more durable than its obsolete counterpart. This outer top layer makes up 1.5 inches of the composition.
The 2nd layer is a gel-infused memory foam which allows body contouring and provides pressure relief. This makes up another 1.5 inches of the mattress.
Body contouring gives the feeling of “sinking” into the mattress, which I have mostly associated with 5-star hotel beds. The gel swirl dissipates heat, which really helps in keeping cool on the bed. For those who, like me, often sleep hot in the course of the night, this is vital. The combination of the ventilated cover along with the cooling gel makes a massive difference, and I don’t wake up sweaty before the crack of dawn. The layer underneath the gel foam is a slightly firmer foam, providing body and support to the mattress. This is especially important for heavier individuals, to keep from sinking completely into the bed. The moderate firmness of the bed is attributable to this poly foam, counteracting sagging, which commonly leads to body pains. This 2.5-inch layer also acts as a separator for the coils beneath.
Underneath the high-density foam are individually wrapped coils. These modern versions of springs equip the mattress with mobility, allowing sleepers to shift positions with ease and not feel “stuck.” Their unique pockets make it so they can react independently, reducing movement transfer, which is a consideration for people who share beds. In exactly the same vein, the coils are braced round the borders, strengthening the perimeter of this bed and maximizing the entire space without collapsing. The coils make up more than half of the mattress’s makeup at 8 inches.
At the very base of this mattress is 1.5 inches of firm foam. This serves to cushion the coils and act as the foundation.
Ratings by Feature Lyrics Feels Like I’m Lost in a DreamCloud Heavenly Light Mists Pale Emeralds
Now that we know what’s in a DreamCloud, let us see how all its components combine in some of the features we look for in a mattress. Everyone will have a different experience when it comes to talks on stability, freedom, pressure relief, edge support, and movement transfer, since these features are dependent on the person’s body weight, build, and sleeping preferences. To help understand my personal ratings, please be aware that I weigh roughly 120 lbs, and am a combination back and side sleeper, often favoring the latter.
Firmness — 5 out of 5
I start with this because I have lower back problems, which were mostly caused by my previous bed of more than 1 decade. I didn’t take the time to notice that the mattress had sagged considerably in the middle section, and I had been sleeping with poor skeletal support.
The DreamCloud has medium firmness, which gives me the adequate balance of support and comfort that I am searching for. It’s firm enough to make certain that my spine is not compromised, and factoring in its Eurotop cover, gives me a nice “sinking into the bed” feel that I love.
I reiterate that if you’re larger and heavier than I am, it’s likely that the DreamCloud may feel softer, as your body sinks more significantly into the mattress.

Mobility — 5 out of 5
Among my sleeping habits is also repositioning a lot during the evening. I am a combination sleeper and switch between back and side sleeping. I’ve had beds that were too soft and static that made it feel like drowning when I tried to move slightly. On the DreamCloud, this was not a problem, and I could reposition easily, aided by a mild bounce.
Stress Relief — 4 out of 5 Lyrics Feels Like I’m Lost in a DreamCloud Heavenly Light Mists Pale Emeralds
Different body parts exert different amounts of pressure once we lay in bed. Hips and shoulders have more contact with the bed, particularly for side sleepers. Being a hybrid mattress, the Eurotop and memory materials allow some sinkage into its foam layers, and consequently relieve more pressure in comparison to firmer alternatives. When sleeping on my back, I feel an even distribution of my weight, and the coils offer the support for my lower back. When I am on my side, it’s comfortable enough for my shoulders and hips to snuggle into the mattress whilst keeping my spine aligned. I don’t sleep on my stomach much, but I felt like I sank too much when I tried it; so it may be the opposite in a sense that there was no pressure to the point of sinkage. That, or I’m just not used to that position.
Edge Support — 4 out of 5
If you make full use of every inch of your mattress, you would want to do it without falling off its edges. I found the DreamCloud’s stability to be quite good, but also noticed that it was better when lying down instead of when sitting on the edge, which might be due to the better distribution of my weight when spread across a larger area than in 1 spot.
Motion Transfer — 5 out of 5
Having coils, I was a tad worried that my dog and I would be bouncing around the mattress at every move we made during our sleep, disturbing the other. I was impressed by how well the top layers cushioned and muffled our moves, even if my dog jumped on the bed while I was on it. My dog is a medium and weighs around 30 kg, so I’m not sure how this would translate to sharing a bed with another adult individual, but I’m pretty happy about this for my own needs.
Final Remarks and FAQ Lyrics Feels Like I’m Lost in a DreamCloud Heavenly Light Mists Pale Emeralds
It is utterly important to choose the right bed to make sure you’ll be safe from back pains and get good quality sleep. If you want to live a long and healthy life, sleep has got to be a priority. You’ve just read my reviews on each of the features of DreamCloud, and I’d say that all in all, it is definitely a reliable brand.
That sums up my experience with my 1st ever hybrid bed-in-a-box. Here are some FAQs for those with particular concerns.
Who’d enjoy the DreamCloud?
I’m so satisfied with it, but like I specifiedI mostly sleep on my side and back, and would not recommend it for stomach sleepers. People who tend to sleep hot will also enjoy the gel-infused memory foam. For those who are fond of the luxury feel of excellent hotel beds, this is a fantastic alternative for its plush Eurotop and memory materials that provide the feeling of being cradled in clouds. Back support is wonderful, and I have not had any pains to report.
How do I install the DreamCloud?
It’ll be delivered in a box, and is quite heavy; so unless you are extremely strong, you will need some assistance. If you’ll be using a bed frame or foundation, place the vacuum-sealed mattress on it before you tear it open. You will not need box springs, but this fits most standard sizes; additionally, this can be used on any flat surface (even the floor). Due to the coils, be prepared for some snap as it escapes its container. Allow up to 48 hours for it to completely reshape and adapt to its new space. That’s it!
What’s the price range?
Depending on the size, they range from $799 for a Twin up to $1,499 for a King or California King. If you are not in any hurry, you may want to wait for a discount, which they offer quite frequently on their website.
Is it a good investment? Lyrics Feels Like I’m Lost in a DreamCloud Heavenly Light Mists Pale Emeralds
For me, it was definitely leaps and bounds better than my old fashioned mattress. I estimate I would have at least a decade with this one, so that counts as a great investment in my book. Besides, for the luxurious sleep it has provided me in the last couple of weeks, it’s been more than worth the price.
