Luft Vs Dreamcloud

Dreamcloud-vs-competition

After years of traveling for leisure and work, and sharing rooms with colleagues and friends, I have discovered that preferences in beds come down to a matter of taste. In this case, taste relies hugely on quality of sleep. So in finding the bed that’s suitable for you, it can’t be as straightforward as taking just anyone’s word on which ones are good and which ones aren’t. You will have to consider your size, your weight, your body type, what position you sleep in, and whether you share a bed with a partner, a child, a pet, or laundry.

I’ve rounded up three of the more affordable but highly rated mattresses which are currently in the market. In my view, the DreamCloud defeats them in convenience, luxury, and comfort; though I reiterate the value of personal taste.

I’ll start by describing the DreamCloud, then detail its similarities and differences with 3 other brands afterward.

DreamCloud Description Luft Vs Dreamcloud

The DreamCloud is among the first beds-in-boxes, compressed and delivered to your doorstep. It is a 15-inch hybrid , with 5 layers of mixed memory coils and materials. Its Euro Top cover is a blend of cashmere and polyester, quilted and reinforced at the edges, giving the bed a comfortable, seamless, and lavish quality. The gel swirl in its own memory foam provides a cooling sensation, even as your body sinks into the top layer. The memory technology offers pressure relief by contouring to the areas of the body which protrude into the mattress, particularly the shoulders and hips. The poly foam underneath it functions as the supporting layer, allowing more stability and adequate spinal alignment. Its second layer is 8 inches of coils that provide a bouncy response to touch, increasing mobility for repositioning the body on the surface. The coils are individually wrapped, allowing independent movement. This greatly reduces motion transfer, or the disruption of different regions of the bed. At the very bottom is a firm foam that acts as a sturdy foundation for the whole mattress.

DreamCloud Vs Saatva

Both the DreamCloud and Saatva are hybrid mattresses which are very similar in characteristics, but differ in subtle ways. For starters, Saatva, though also available online, isn’t a bed in a box, and isn’t compressed when delivered. They’ve coils and memory materials in their makeup, but their ratios and assembly produce some variance.

Composition Luft Vs Dreamcloud

The Saatva is also a hybrid , with a blend of foams and coils. They have 2 variations: an 11.5-inch and a 14.5-inch mattress; but for the purpose of juxtaposition with the DreamCloud, I will describe the latter, which is a closer approximate.

Its anti-bacterial, cotton Euro Top covers a mix of memory materials and wires, to promote lumbar support and spinal alignment. The next 4 inches of the mattress is made from foam-wrapped coils, which compress or spring back based on the pressure exerted. An extra layer of steel coils make up the next 7 inches, further supporting the upper layers and encouraging durability. All edges of the mattress are reinforced by a foam, to improve edge support throughout the surface.

Comparison

The biggest differences of the Saatva mattress are the total height of its coils, as well as the foam perimeter. Their firmness is similar, with DreamCloud allowing a bit more sinkage into its Euro Top and memory layers, and Saatva in a slightly firmer medium.

Both have responsive materials that give good mobility to repositioning sleepers. However, if we take note of their composition, bear in mind that Saatva has more coil and less foam. The DreamCloud’s thicker foam layers can suck up more energy, and can therefore muffle individual movements better. This is an important consideration for light sleepers, and those that share beds. Saatva’s advantage lies in its solid perimeter support, optimizing each bit of the mattress, with no collapsing at the sides.

Prices and Perks

Saatva’s prices are at least $100 cheaper, from their Twin to Queen dimensions; but even out with DreamCloud for its King and California Kings. They range between from $799-$1599, with DreamCloud offering discounts on their website more frequently.

Key Takeaways Luft Vs Dreamcloud

The DreamCloud includes a more luxurious feel, thanks to its lavish, cashmere blend Euro Top, and upper memory layers. The gel-infused memory technology enables you to sleep cooler throughout the night. The combination of foam gives it more sinkage, which is ideal for back and side sleepers; the latter is granted excellent pressure relief for shoulders and hips. It has a perfect balance of support and comfort, and excellent reduction of movement for co-sleepers.

Saatva is a firmer medium mattress, and naturally boasts of greater lumbar alignment. Its firmness is also great for people who sleep on their stomachs, as the top keeps you on the bed without stifling your face. Its edge support, as a result of its all-foam perimeter, has better stability. This is good for those who utilize their beds to double as sitting spaces, or often dangle over the sides when sleeping.

DreamCloud Vs Nectar

Composition

Unlike DreamCloud, Nectar is a multi-layer, all-foam mattress. Its design includes several kinds of foam to serve a variety of functions. At 11 inches tall, its foundation layer is its thickest component, made of 6 inches of firm but breathable foam. Above that’s 3 inches of an adaptive memory foam, made for contouring to the sleeper’s body and alleviating pressure from certain areas. An inch of what Nectar describes as “semi-open lush foam” is sandwiched between the latter and the upper layer, made of a quilted gel memory foam. The mattress is encased in long-staple cotton and Tencel fabric, which are light and airy materials.

Comparison

Based on the disparity of their composition, you’d expect quite distinctive features from each mattress. However, that is not the case with those two. Both have been categorized as medium firm, with Nectar being just a notch firmer; despite that, they both have a fair amount of sinkage and pressure relief.

The main distinction is DreamCloud’s amount of bounce, giving sleepers more freedom when repositioning. This is due to the existence of coils, which is absent from Nectar. That said, Nectar’s product gives its sleepers a deeper hug as the assortment of foams shape to their bodies. This same quality translates to slightly better movement isolation, attributable to its pure foam design.

Prices and Perks

Almost all of Nectar’s prices are almost half of DreamCloud’s, save for the King and California King, whose prices are still a good $500 cheaper. This may be attributed to the quantity and quality of materials used. Recall that the Nectar is just 11 inches tall, while the DreamCloud is a full 4 inches taller. What you do not pay for in Nectar’s mattress is the feel of DreamCloud’s plush cashmere mix, which sets it apart as a cheap luxury mattress.

Key Takeaways

Off the bat, you can make a decision based on whether you like the feeling of being “in” the mattress or “on” the bed. Sleepers who like to lay tight and cozy in their beds would love Nectar’s foams, while those who want a milder cradle, whilst keeping to the surface should opt for the DreamCloud. People who sleep in a combination of positions during the night may also benefit more from DreamCloud’s responsive materials. Both dissipate heat, as a result of their gel components, so hot sleepers will enjoy the breathability of both mattresses also.

DreamCloud VS Casper Luft Vs Dreamcloud

Construction

Much like the Nectar, Casper is an all-foam mattress. At just 10 inches, Casper is made of 4 inches of a mixed array of foams. The 1st 3 layers are equally 1.5 inches thick. Its top layer is a bouncy, perforated poly foam which they refer to as “open cell,” which increases breathability. The next layer has the memory material that offers compression and pressure relief. The bottom 2 layers are poly foams of increasing density toward the bottom, giving the mattress a foundation and stability.

Comparison

Though made of different materials and assembled quite differently, both possess a medium firm feel, with Casper on the firmer end of this scale. It follows that Casper gives a feels more supportive when lying on the back, but the DreamCloud gives better pressure relief for both back and side sleepers.

Though both mattresses are elastic, the DreamCloud notably returns to its shape quicker than Casper. This same characteristic, with the addition of DreamCloud’s coils, make it easier for combination sleepers to move about at night. Despite Casper’s layout for a breathable top foam, DreamCloud wicks the heat more efficiently, which can be attributed to its gel cooling technology.

Pricing and Perks

Casper’s prices range from $595-$1295, while DreamCloud begins at $899 for the Twin and up to $1599 for the California King. Casper includes a free trial of 100 days, while DreamCloud grants a full 365 days. Respectively, the former provides a 10-year warranty, while the latter promises a lifetime.

Key Takeaways

DreamCloud is the clear winner between these two, in terms of luxury and comfort. However, their cost gap is also significant, so depending upon your budget, Casper’s not a bad option.

Recommendations Luft Vs Dreamcloud

Buying a mattress isn’t something that can be done on a whim; it’s a very important decision. There are loads of things to consider, and most important are your personal preferences and requirements. In fact, a long and healthy life depends on it. The amount of money that goes into these is not any small thing, so review and identify prior to making a decision. You’ll sleep better at night.
