Buying beds and mattresses used to be a tedious process of trial and error. First, one had to find the time to go to a physical store, and then spend hours laying, pressing, and bouncing on various kinds for feel, comfort, support, and everything else which could offer a fantastic night’s sleep. Sadly, as I’m sure many people have experienced, even those steps are not guarantees, since no amount of short-term testing can satisfactorily replicate the lives we live on our beds. Aside from spending a third of our days in that space, there’s also the issue of sharing beds with our spouses, children, and pets; there is sleeping, but also playing, cradling, reading, moms feeding, and so on.
For many decades, the really excellent mattresses cost an arm and a leg for the technologies used in their design. If you did not have the funds for it, you were stuck with your run-of-the-mill mattress which later made you toss and turn at night or gave back pains. I know, since this was my issue, and before the era of “everything is on the internet,” there just were not that many options. Given what was available, I didn’t have anyone to vouch for every brand’s quality .
Now, the game has completely changed with the addition of luxury beds-in-boxes, available online and delivered directly to your doorstep. One such company that has risen in popularity is the DreamCloud Mattress, and if the name alone doesn’t entice you, allow me to break it down.

DreamCloud has been around for some decades, but their 2019 product really caught my attention. It is a hybrid that combines memory tech, foam, and coils — all the things that make luxury beds — but at a reasonable price range, vacuum-packed into a box and sent straight to your homes.

The DreamCloud is a 15-inch, 2-toned mattress with 5 layers. Each layer serves a specific purpose, so I will get into detail below.
The entire mattress is covered in a blend of cashmere and polyester, giving it a plush and luxurious feel. It’s soft, breathable, and quilted with memory material. This makes it a EuroTop, a more seamless type of pillow-top that provides a cleaner look; but also serves to prevent shifting or losing its original shape like a traditional pillow top. The memory filling is quite compact, which makes it more durable than its obsolete counterpart. This outer top layer constitutes 1.5 inches of the composition.
The 2nd layer is a gel-infused memory foam that allows body contouring and provides pressure relief. This makes up another 1.5 inches of the mattress.
Body contouring gives the feeling of “sinking” into the mattress, which I have mostly associated with 5-star hotel beds. The gel swirl dissipates heat, which really helps in keeping cool on the mattress. For those who, like me, tend to sleep hot in the course of the night, this is vital. The combination of the ventilated cover along with the cooling makes a huge difference, and I don’t wake up sweaty before the crack of dawn. Is There a DreamCloud Showroom in Florida
The layer underneath the gel foam is a slightly firmer foam, providing support and body to the mattress. This is especially important for heavier individuals, to keep from sinking entirely into the bed. The medium firmness of the bed is attributable to the poly foam, counteracting sagging, which commonly leads to body pains. This 2.5-inch layer also acts as a separator for the coils beneath.
Under the high-density foam are individually wrapped coils. These modern versions of springs equip the mattress with mobility, allowing sleepers to change positions with ease and not feel “stuck.” Their individual pockets make it so that they can react independently, reducing movement transfer, which is a consideration for those who share beds. In exactly the same vein, the coils are braced round the edges, strengthening the perimeter of this bed and maximizing the entire space without collapsing. The coils make up more than half of the bed’s composition at 8 inches.
At the very bottom of the mattress is 1.5 inches of firm foam. This serves to cushion the coils and act as the foundation.

Now that we know what’s in a DreamCloud, let us see how all its components combine in a number of the attributes we look for in a mattress. Everyone will have a different experience when it comes to talks on stability, freedom, pressure relief, edge support, and movement transfer, since these features are dependent on the person’s body weight, build, and sleeping preferences. To help understand my personal evaluations, please note that I weigh roughly 120 lbs, and am a combination back and side sleeper, often favoring the latter.
Firmness — 5 out of 5
I start with this because I have lower back problems, which were mostly caused by my previous bed of more than 1 decade. I didn’t take the time to observe that the mattress had sagged considerably from the middle section, and I had been sleeping with poor skeletal support.
The DreamCloud has medium firmness, which gives me the adequate balance of support and comfort that I am searching for. It’s firm enough to make certain that my spine is not compromised, and factoring in its Eurotop cover, gives me a nice “sinking into the bed” feel that I love.
I reiterate that if you’re bigger and heavier than I am, it’s possible that the DreamCloud may feel softer, as your body sinks more significantly into the mattress.

Mobility — 5 out of 5
One of my sleeping habits is also shifting a lot during the evening. I am a combination sleeper and switch between back and side sleeping. I’ve had beds that were too soft and static that made it feel like drowning when I tried to move slightly. On the DreamCloud, this wasn’t a problem, and I could reposition easily, aided by a gentle bounce.
Stress Relief — 4 out of 5 Is There a DreamCloud Showroom in Florida
Different body parts exert various amounts of pressure when we lay in bed. Hips and shoulders have more contact with the bed, particularly for side sleepers. Being a hybrid mattress, the Eurotop and memory materials allow some sinkage into its foam layers, and consequently alleviate more pressure compared to firmer alternatives. When sleeping on my back, I feel an even distribution of my weight, and the coils provide the support for my lower back. When I’m on my side, it’s comfortable enough for my shoulders and hips to snuggle in the mattress whilst keeping my spine aligned. I do not sleep on my stomach much, but I felt like I sank too much when I tried it; so it can be the opposite in a sense that there was no pressure to the point of sinkage. That, or I am simply not used to this position.
Edge Support — 4 out of 5
If you make full use of every inch of your mattress, you would want to do it without falling off its borders. I found the DreamCloud’s stability to be rather good, but also noticed that it was better when lying down instead of when sitting on the edge, which may be due to the better distribution of my weight when spread across a larger area than in one spot.
Motion Transfer — 5 out of 5
Having coils, I was a tad worried that my puppy and I’d be bouncing around the bed at each move we made throughout our sleep, disturbing the other. I was pleasantly impressed by how well the top layers padded and muffled our moves, even if my dog jumped on the bed while I was on it. My dog is a medium and weighs around 30 kg, so I’m not sure how this would translate to sharing a bed with another adult human, but I’m pretty happy about this for my own needs.
Final Remarks and FAQ Is There a DreamCloud Showroom in Florida
It is utterly important to choose the right bed to make sure you’ll be safe from back pains and get good quality sleep. If you want to live a long and healthy life, sleep has got to be a priority. You’ve just read my reviews on each of the features of DreamCloud, and I’d say that all in all, it is definitely a reliable brand.
That sums up my experience with my 1st ever hybrid bed-in-a-box. Here are some FAQs for those with particular concerns.
Who’d enjoy the DreamCloud?
I’m so satisfied with it, but like I specifiedI mostly sleep on my side and back, and wouldn’t recommend it for stomach sleepers. People who often sleep hot will also enjoy the gel-infused memory foam. For those persons who are fond of the luxury feel of excellent hotel beds, this is a fantastic alternative for its lavish Eurotop and memory materials that give the feeling of being cradled in clouds. Back support is wonderful, and I have not had any pains to report.
How do I set up the DreamCloud?
It’ll be delivered in a box, and is quite heavy; so unless you are extremely strong, you’ll need some assistance. If you’ll be using a bed frame or base, put the vacuum-sealed mattress on it before you rip it open. You will not need box springs, but this fits most standard sizes; additionally, this can be used on any flat surface (even the floor). Because of the coils, be prepared for some snap when it escapes its container. Allow up to 48 hours for it to completely reshape and adjust to its new area. That’s it!
What is the price range?
Depending upon the size, they range from $799 for a Twin up to $1,499 for a King or California King. If you are not in any hurry, you may want to wait for a discount, which they provide quite frequently on their site.
Is it a good investment? Is There a DreamCloud Showroom in Florida
For me, it was definitely leaps and bounds better than my old fashioned mattress. I estimate I would have at least a decade with this one, so that counts as a great investment in my book. Besides, for the luxurious sleep it has provided me in the last few weeks, it’s been more than worth the cost.
